Nels Akerlund Photography offers architectural, commercial, and editorial photography to a diverse global clientele. Our years of experience have given us the privilege to work with the National Geographic Society, The New York Times, Architectural Record, and on international campaigns for Siemens and Alien Skin Software. Our photography has been described as "gorgeous and thoughtful" by the San Francisco Chronicle, and published in nine books and in publications worldwide. With assignments in each of the 50 United States and extensive travels over four continents, we have the experience to produce dynamic images in any environment.
Nels Akerlund started his career as an intern for a Washington, D.C. photographer working at the White House during the Reagan administration in 1985. Since then, Nels has photographed world leaders, rock legends, politicians, and icons of this generation. Now at age 41, Nels has been shooting for over two decades.
